Update 13 - September 2024
After a variable Summer, Autumn is now upon us. The last few months have however been a very busy time for us in many different, but all positive ways, and that activity is summarised in our September update, which you can read by clicking below.
Update 12 - June 2024
Welcome to a slightly delayed update from the Blackbushe Heritage Trust. We can’t believe it is June already and just a couple of weeks to go before the popular Blackbushe Air Day returns on the 15th.
Update 11 - February 2024
After many hours of hard work by stalwarts Pete Vickery, Richard Dyett and James Burton, the new BHT shop opened on Sunday 4th February. It will now open on the 1st and 3rd Sunday every month, between 10am and 2pm.
Update 10 - December 2023
As always it has been a busy few months at the BHT with a lot going on and new avenues opening up.
What we need most of all right now is more volunteers to get involved to cover an ever increasing
workload.
Update 9 - September 2023
Former Autair and British European Airways pilot Mike Bennison kicked off this season’s talks last Wednesday with an entertaining insight into his early days flying propliners including our very own GAGRW.
Update 8 - July 2023
We have just two weeks to go until the British Airways colleague charity voucher scheme closes where staff have a £20 credit to allocate to one of the airlines charity partners.
Update 7 - ‘Vagabond’ Arrives home to Blackbushe
Tuesday 2nd May was a historic day at Blackbushe as our Vickers Viking G-AGRW ‘Vagabond’ finally returned home, completing a 950 mile journey from Bad Voslau, Austria.
Crowdfunder update - April 23 ‘Vagabond’ a step closer to home!
Since our last update there has been some progress, ‘Vagabond’ was repositioned this week, as part of a training exercise, by a specialist recovery team of Fire Crew from Vienna Airport.
Crowdfunder Update -March 23 'Vagabond' to return to Blackbushe in May 2023
Since our announcement on the 15th January 2023 that we will be returning Vickers Viking G-AGRW ‘Vagabond’ back to Blackbushe Airport much work has been going on behind the scenes including technical visits to Bad Vöslau Airport in Austria where the aircraft is located.
Update 5 - A Visit to Bad Voslau
On 6th and 7th February a small group including trustees Pat Marchant and Mark Griffiths travelled to Vienna to carry out a technical survey of ‘our’ Viking G-AGRW.
Update 4 - A Big Announcement
We are absolutely thrilled to be able to announce a new partnership with British Airways. The nation’s flag carrier has adopted the Blackbushe Heritage Trust as an official charity for the next few years opening up huge potential for fundraising.

It has been a busy few weeks at the Blackbushe Heritage Trust as we continue on our mission to recover Vickers Viking G-AGRW from Austria for restoration at Blackbushe.
