Many of you will recall the first of Dave’s talks earlier this year where he shared some of his huge and varied collection of propliner photos, mainly from Heathrow in the days when piston and turboprop-powered airliners filled the skies.
The good news is that he’s back again to share more of his collection, starting with London Airport North…..imagine taking a seat in the spectators enclosure to watch (and hear) them taxy by!
We’ll then be transported to the Queens Building for a selection of shots from there, along with the Cargo and Maintenance bases. Finally, we’ll find ourselves back here at Blackbushe for some military and light aircraft from the ‘50’s and 60’s.
Dave’s last talk was very popular, so to ensure you don’t miss out on this dose of aviation nostalgia, you can secure you seats here for £10 per head, or pay on the door on the night.
Although Dave has asked us to point out that these are amateur photos, some modern enhancement techniques have been time-consumingly used to get them to the best standard possible!
Tea and coffee will be available and all proceeds from the evening go towards the restoration of our own propliner, “Vagabond”!
